The FP7 HEALTH-2010 calls have been published on 30July 2009
Six Calls for Proposals have been published under the Health theme.
Health-2010 has a total indicative budget of EUR 620.5 million The objective of health research under FP7 is to improve the health of European citizens and boost the competitiveness of health-related industries and businesses, as well as address global health issues.
For the 2010 Work Programme there are several calls with different deadlines and different procedures (Single stage, Two-stage,..). The announcement of the new call has been placed on CORDIS, you will find the link for all relevant information at http://cordis.europa.eu/fp7/health/home_en.html
The Health theme is a major theme of the Cooperation programme and the EU has earmarked a total of € 6.1 billion for funding this theme over the duration of FP7.

- There will be an info day on the coordinated call AFRICA; on 18 September 2009. Please find the programme and registration link on CORDIS at http://circa.europa.eu/Public/irc/rtd/rtdafr2010call/library?l=/africa-programmepdf/_EN_1.0_&a=d
- The Call on "Alternative Testing Strategies" addresses the replacement of animal tests in repeated dose systemic toxicity testing, through the topic HEALTH.2010.4.2-9 "Towards the replacement of repeated dose systemic toxicity testing in human safety assessment", of the Health Programme. The European Cosmetic Industry has decided to match the research funds by the European Commission. - It is important to note that the funding modalities differ from the standard FP7 funding schemes.
- An Information Event will take at the Rome Cavalieri Hotel, on the 31st of August 2009 and 1st of September 2009, in connection with to the VII World Congress on Alternatives & Animal Use in the Life Sciences. Registration is not required as there are no fees to pay for the info event itself but space is limited to 200 people; in case you intend to participae in the whole World Congress on Alternatives, you need to register and pay the fees.
