Support for Health research applicants - FP7 Health Portal
This new "portal" site covers the EU investment in Health research, which is used to support research activities and initiatives during FP7, with a particular focus on health biotechnology, translational research and the optimisation of health care delivery to citizens, as well as providing support to address EU policy needs.
Specific websites of the Health Portal are - or will be - devoted to Health Biotechnology, Genomics & Systems Biology, Medical Research, Infectious Diseases, Public Health, and the Innovative Medicines Initiative.
Practical guide for EU funding possibilities for research
Although plenty of information is available on the different EU funding sources, potential beneficiaries are often still confused, in particular when it comes to deciding which source of funding is most appropriate for a given activity. The aim of this guide is therefore to help potential applicants for EU funding for research and innovation to find their way to relevant information on funding opportunities ("getting through the maze") in order to identify the most suitable choices among the relevant EU programmes. Given the very wide range of activities that can be funded, the text of the guide cannot itself answer every question. However, it will direct the reader straight to the relevant source of information.
EU support for research, technological development and innovation (RTDI) is provided mainly through the Seventh Research Framework Programme, the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme and the Structural Funds. In addition to practical information on combining the different funding sources, the guide includes a description of each fund, advice for policy makers and an innovative Checklist and Scorecard. These allow potential beneficiaries to quickly identify exactly how they can access European funding at every stage of a project.
